the gym

Elevate Barbell is a premiere strength training facility in Fort Collins, Colorado open to all people from beginners to world champion athletes. We believe that you don’t have to be a pro athlete to train on professional equipment or in a supportive environment where the focus is on the training and not on some other nonsense.

Elevate Barbell began in 2019 when the owner (Eric) didn’t find any good options for serious barbell athletes in Fort Collins. Perhaps like you, access to premium training equipment isn’t just a nice thing to have, it’s a necessity to get your training done. Practicing a baseball swing without a bat and ball is extremely difficult. Training for heavy deadlifts without a good barbell is also difficult.

Elevate Barbell grew from word of mouth and hardworking athletes wanting a place to refine their craft. It grew from people who have never touched a barbell in their life and took a chance on strength training. And it continues to grow from people like you, who want a community to help bring out your athletic best.

We stand behind four values:

Supportive Environment

You won’t find a more supportive environment than what we have inside Elevate Barbell. Everyone is rooting for each other, engaged in their training, and helping the group succeed together. The gym is host to brand new lifters through to world champions and everyone is able to coexist and thrive in our supportive community of strength.

Equipment

Our selection of equipment is second to none in the state of Colorado, and perhaps across the country. We are proud to offer 4 competition powerlifting squat/bench racks, a giant Rogue rig, deadlift platforms, weightlifting platforms, 2500+ Kilos of competition plates for both powerlifting and weightlifting, strongman implements, Hammer Strength machines, and so much more. There are no bad barbells here.

Accessibility

One of our primary goals is to make barbell training (and strength training in general) accessible to everyone. While it can oftentimes be intimidating at first, we aim to show that strength training can be scaled down and accessible for all body types and experience levels. We want everyone to be able to reap the benefits of strength training for health and longevity.

what we believe

  • By shifting the goal in going to the gym away from punishment, soreness, or purposeless selections of exercises, sets, and reps, you open up to a world of possibility. When you have strength-based goals, other behaviors in your life align and you look forward to each session as a stepping stone to future progress.

  • Refining your technique gives you a sense of personal satisfaction. You’re moving better, you’re feeling better, and you’ve grown in tangible ways, inside and out.

  • Effective training is about the right amount of training, it’s not about just doing more work. Many people come to Elevate and learn that they were doing too much. By scaling back, they might find better progress overall.
